Q: What are the differences between Miramate Flash and Ray Gun?
A: The wavelength band of UV light produced by Flash is broader. The light from Flash appears to be white. Even though a lot of energy of Flash is going into VUV, there is still a lot of energy in visible light spectrum. The VUV light emitted from Ray Gun has a much narrower bandwidth and is therefore safer.
Flash delivers strong bursts of ultraviolet. Ray gun deliveries a continuous stream of VUV at a high frequency. More VUV is delivered safer.
In angle mode, Ray Gun can produce a large amount of ozone, nitric oxide, as well as localized heat. All these factors combine to treat skin conditions much more effectively than contact mode alone.
Ray Gun forms a microscopic secondary ionization layer between the gas tube and the target skin. Current flows between the tube and the skin. A: Ray Gun can be used on animal’s skin, it is very safe. It is best to choose a location that does not have too much fur. If necessary, remove excess fur with a razor.

Q: I am wondering about the ozone emitted from using Ray Gun. Any safety issues?
A: Ozone contributes to improving. Ray Gun creates proper ozone to help skin issues safely and effectively.
Q: How long does it take to see any effect?
A: Generally it is immediate. Blemishes will fade straight away. Sometimes it will take multiple treatments.

Q: I was just using my Ray Gun and the barrel began to feel very warm. Is it normal?
A: It is normal. The barrel of Ray Gun may get hot after a long time of use. It’s similar to a hairdryer. Both are designed to handle the heat without any problem. We wanted the unit to be quiet in operation, and that’s why we didn’t use a fan for cooling. It does have cooling holes though.
Q: If lotion/cream/body oil was applied the night before (or perhaps 8+ hours prior to use), would the area have to be wiped off with alcohol for Ray Gun to be effective?
A: It is best to still wash the problematic area before applying Ray Gun.
Personally, I would wash the area of the body to be treated so that no other oils or creams are left on the body. Once the treatment has been completed, then you can apply any oils, lotions or creams on the body area.
Q: Can we use Ray Gun to help skin problems on the neck? Where to place the earthing pad?
A: Yes, you can help skin problems on the neck with Ray Gun. Pads can earth your body anywhere you place. It’s just better when you place it closer to your treatment area. It is worth noting that we do not recommend placing the earthing pad near the heart or head. For example, you can place a pad on the left shoulder or the left side of the neck if you need to treat skin issues on the right side of the neck.
Q: Regarding the 20 min wait period (for lotions) after treatment with Ray Gun, should water be avoided as well? For example, applying frequency imprinted water on the treated areas?
A: You can apply imprinted water on the treated areas after using Ray Gun. Water is very moderate, without causing irritation. It will also not cancel the ozone and nitric oxide benefits.
Q: Do we need to remove the gas tube of Ray Gun each time we have used it? And how do you treat large areas for example eczema?
A: No, you do not need to remove the gas tube each time. To treat large areas, you can place the tube directly on the problem area and move the tube slowly.

Q: Is it normal that whenever the trigger is depressed, Ray Gun makes a loud, high pitched noise?
A: It is normal to hear the sound during the operation with Ray Gun.
Q: There are areas I want to treat near the orbital bone and between the brows or nose bridge. The glasses make it impossible to reach these areas. What should I do to protect my eyes from VUV light?
A: You can close your eyes if you need to use Ray Gun for areas around the eyes.
