VUV Light Therapy

VUV Light Therapy for Skin Cancer

Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer. Actually, more skin cancers are diagnosed each year than the sum of all other cancers. Over the past few decades, the number of skin cancer cases has risen continuously.

Most skin cancers are caused by UV radiation, especially UVA and UVB, which are found in sunlight, commercial tanning lamps and tanning beds. If skin cancers are detected early and treated appropriately, most of them are highly curable. If not, cancers will advance and spread to nearby tissues and organs, where they become hard to treat and can sometimes even be fatal.

There are 3 main types of skin cancers, including basal cell skin cancers, squamous cell skin cancers and melanomas. Treatment for early-stage skin cancers usually includes surgery to remove the lesion area. If they have grown larger and invaded other tissues, the main treatment options may include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, biological therapy and targeted therapy. These treatments are very expensive and usually associated with severe side effects and complications. VUV light therapy, as one of the most advanced technologies, is a safe and non-invasive treatment for skin cancers.

How Does VUV Light Therapy Work on Skin Cancers?

VUV is a short-wavelength UV light, so the photons of VUV are powerful enough to kill the cancer cells living on the skin. In addition, VUV can induce the production of nitric oxide within tissues to kill skin cancer cells.

VUV is considered as the most suitable UV light to treat skin cancers mainly because it will not harm healthy skin cells. Photons of UVA and UVB can penetrate the dead skin cell layers to damage the DNA of normal skin cells, and eventually form a mass of cancerous cells. This can also explain why UVA and UVB are the main causes of skin cancers. However, the dead skin on most of the human body is sufficient to absorb VUV radiation almost completely. With the protection of dead skin cell layers, VUV will not harm normal skin cells. As mentioned above, the cancer cells under the dead skin are cleared by NO instead of the powerful VUV photons. The therapeutic effects of NO depend on the amounts generated and the local concentrations achieved. VUV, proven to create proper NO, can kill cancer cells without harming healthy skin cells. There are no known side effects and complications of VUV light treatment devices.

Lab Tests for Skin Cancers

Although melanoma is not the most common form of skin cancers, it causes the most deaths. So we took human melanoma cells as biological samples and conducted specific experiments to determine whether our VUV light therapy device – Ray Gun can eliminate skin cancer cells.

The samples were divided into 5 groups. Each group had differing treatment methods. One group (the ‘control’) was left untreated. The cell morphology of each group was observed and photographed under the microscope at 0 h, 24 h and 48 h time periods. Compare the value of absorbance and proliferation inhibition rate in each group after 24 and 48 hours.

According to the experiment results, Ray Gun is lethal to human malignant melanoma cells, and can significantly inhibit human melanoma cell proliferation activity, particularly when used with earthing.

How to Use Ray Gun for Skin Cancers

Ray Gun is the most effective and safe VUV light device available today.

Ray Gun creates VUV light within the gas tube. The bandwidth of light is very narrow; 221 nm to 223 nm. In addition, Ray Gun forms a microscopic secondary ionization layer between the gas tube and the target skin. Current flows between the tube and the target. You can increase this current by placing an earthing pad on the opposite side of the target area. This increases the amount of ozone, and more importantly, allows ozone to travel deeper.

Single-button operation makes Ray Gun very simple to use. Simply plug in the power, wear protective glasses, place it on the desired skin area, and push the button to enjoy the treatment. It is recommended to use Ray Gun for 2 minutes (no more than 5 minutes) on each lesion area once or twice a day. There are three modes of Ray Gun. You can choose the most suitable one according to your needs.

The sooner skin cancers are recognized, the more likely they can be cured. Therefore, it is advisable to check your skin regularly, preferably once a month.

Ray Gun is the best gift to help skin cancer patients enjoy a better and healthier life. It’s time to get one!
